A tavern was an establishment that sold foods and beverages.

In 2152, a tavern existed in a city on a pre-warp planet which was visited by an Enterprise away team. Malcolm Reed lost his communicator there, where it was found by the authorities, who later captured Reed and Jonathan Archer here. (ENT: "The Communicator")

In 2365, a character in Data's Sherlock Holmes program was released from prison and spent the rest of that day in a tavern drinking gin with his wife, who later murdered him. (TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")

In 2370, Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher were told to head for a tavern in Ohn-Kor near the Kes-Prytt border. (TNG: "Attached")

In 2372, Kor visited a tavern on Torna IV, where he became drunk and told the other customers about gaining the Shroud of the Sword and how it would lead him to the Sword of Kahless. Toral was also in the tavern at the time. (DS9: "The Sword of Kahless")

In 2373, Bahrat's space station featured a tavern which, among other things, served toffa ale. (VOY: "Fair Trade")

In 2374, a holographic Leonardo da Vinci considered moving to France and told Catarina about a tavern outside Paris, which he described as a "charming little bistro" offering a particular wine. (VOY: "Concerning Flight")

In 2377, a brainwashed Tom Paris worked as a waiter in a tavern on Quarra. (VOY: "Workforce, Part II")

Graife's establishment in "Honor Among Thieves" was described in the script as being a tavern.
