Types
Possible case-sensitive values for the type parameters (see below) are:

Single box
Specify the type (see above) with |type=
.
- If
type
is blank or does not match any options, then the first parameter is a file name withtype
as the alt text and the second parameter displayed afterwards, then up to three more unnamed parameters in reverse order, followed by the page name. - Otherwise, if
type
is anything other than rd or tf, the first unnamed parameter is displayed after the link. - If
type
is rd or tf, edit and watch links will be added. - If
type
is main, the first parameter will be the last entry in the chain; otherwise, the last entry will be the page name. - If
type
is babel, the second parameter will be displayed last in the box.
Multiple boxes
To display multiple navigation boxes, use |type=multi
and the parameters |type1=
, |type2=
, and (optionally) |type3=
(see above for possible types).
type1 and type2 will always display. If no value is given for them, type1 and type2 will default to Forums, but with no link. rd and tf are not valid for type3.
- The first parameter, if present, will be displayed in the box after type1. If the third parameter is given, it will be displayed before that.
- The second parameter, if present, will be displayed in the box after type2. If the fourth parameter is given, it will be displayed before that.
- The third parameter, if present, will be displayed in the box after type3.
- The page name will be displayed last in each case.
