The following documentation is transcluded from Template:TrekToday/doc:

Usage

This template is used to link to TrekToday website entries. A variable is required giving the end path to the article in question, and a second variable can be used to alter the linking text. {{tt}} or {{TT}} should be used as a short form.

If no initial variable is given, the link will go to the main web page, such as:

{{TrekToday}}

Which would produce:

TrekToday

To link to an article, for example a preview of the book Star Trek Vault, you would have a template call as such:

{{TrekToday|content/2011/09/star-trek-vault-preview}}

This would produce:

[1]

If text is desired, such as "Star Trek Vault", the following format should be used:

{{TrekToday|content/2011/09/star-trek-vault-preview|''Star Trek Vault''}}

This would produce:

Star Trek Vault

If you wish the link to be formatted as an external link, for example on the Star Trek Vault page, the following format should be used:

{{TrekToday|content/2011/09/star-trek-vault-preview||external}}

This would produce:

Star Trek Vault: 40 Years From The Archives at TrekToday

If you wish the external link to display different text, the following format should be used:

{{TrekToday|content/2011/09/star-trek-vault-preview|''Star Trek Vault'' preview|external}}

This would produce:

Star Trek Vault preview at TrekToday
