The following documentation is transcluded from Template:Trekcore/doc:

Usage

This template is used to link to the TrekCore website entries. A variable is required giving the end path to the article in question, and a second variable can be used to alter the linking text.

URLs containing unencoded equal signs ('=') will break this template. To fix this, you will have to encode all equal signs using {{=}}.

If no initial variable is given, the link will go to the main TrekCore webpage, such as:

{{trekcore}}

Which would produce:

TrekCore

To link to an article, for example the series of interviews on the remastering of TNG, you would have a template call as such:

{{trekcore|blog/2012/09/exclusive-trekcore-interviews-cbs-digital-part-i/}}

This will produce:

[1]

If text is desired, such as "CBS Digital interviews", the following format should be used:

{{trekcore|blog/2012/09/exclusive-trekcore-interviews-cbs-digital-part-i/|CBS Digital interviews}}

This will produce:

CBS Digital interviews

For example, if you wish the link to be formatted as an external link on the "remaster" page, the following format should be used:

{{trekcore|blog/2012/09/exclusive-trekcore-interviews-cbs-digital-part-i/||external}}

This will produce:

Remaster at TrekCore

If you wish the external link to display different text, the following format should be used:

{{trekcore|blog/2012/09/exclusive-trekcore-interviews-cbs-digital-part-i/|CBS Digital interviews|external}}

This will produce:

CBS Digital interviews at TrekCore

A fourth parameter can be passed to change the path from the general domain to the series or gaming domains, for example the HD screencaps for the TOS episode "The City on the Edge of Forever":

{{trekcore|s=tos|hd/thumbnails.php?album{{=}}29&page{{=}}1|"The City on the Edge of Forever" HD screencaps|external}}

This would produce:

"The City on the Edge of Forever" HD screencaps at TrekCore
