Ten-code was a type of brevity code used by law enforcement officers in the 21st century to express common phrases in voice communication.

In 2024, a Los Angeles Police Department dispatcher gave a "10-31" with a request for backup on Broadway and for other units to cordon off 11th Avenue. In this case, "10-31" was the code for pursuit in progress, referring to the car chase involving Seven of Nine in a stolen police vehicle and the police. Soon after, a police officer gave a "10-14" with a declaration that Olive Street and 12th Avenue were being barricaded. Here, "10-14" was the code for escort detail, indicating the officer was giving assistance to the units on Broadway and 11th Avenue. (PIC: "Watcher")
