Background information[]
In the script of "Broken Bow", the two Teneebian moons were originally to be two Andorian moons, but were changed because the writers wanted to introduce the Andorians over the course of the series. Moons of Andoria were finally mentioned in "Context Is for Kings"
According to Archer in ENT: "Two Days and Two Nights", the farthest that Humans had traveled from Earth by 2151 was ninety light years. The Teneebian moons were visited by Humans prior to this year, so they were presumably within ninety light years of the Sol system.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts, by Geoffrey Mandel,
- Page 45: The moons orbited a planet named Teneebia. Teneebia was a planet located in the Diodem (Alpha Comae Berenices) star system. This planet was located approximately 65 light years from Sol (Earth). In the 22nd century, Teneebia was an independent planet. The name Teneebia was used as an alternate name for the star system. Teneebia was located in the Beta Quadrant.
- United Federation of Planets I: By 2378, Teneebia had become a member planet of the United Federation of Planets.
Apocrypha[]
Taking place in 2409, Star Trek Online features a Teneebian system near Romulan space and mentions the parent planet of the Teneebian moons to have been destroyed eons ago.
