Fleet Admiral Terral was a male Vulcan who served in the Federation Starfleet during the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-57.
In December 2256, he attended a strategy briefing with Captain Gabriel Lorca, Admiral Katrina Cornwell, and two other admirals. (DIS: "Choose Your Pain")
A week later, Terral confirmed to Lorca that Sarek had been lost near Yridia while en route to a secret meeting on Cancri IV, but denied Lorca permission to launch a rescue mission. Lorca terminated their communication and embarked on a rescue anyway, to Terral's consternation. Cornwell later chastised Lorca's actions, explaining that "I thought Terral was gonna throw a fit, and he's a damn Vulcan." (DIS: "Lethe")
On stardate 1308.9, Terral informed Lorca that the USS Hoover and USS Muroc were ambushed simultaneously with the USS Gagarin. With cloaking devices proliferating among the Klingon fleet, he reiterated to Lorca the importance of the mission to Pahvo. (DIS: "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum")
Near the end of the year, Terral ordered Lorca to retreat from the Sarcophagus to Starbase 46, abandoning Pahvo to the Klingons. Later, after the Discovery destroyed the Sarcophagus, Terral spoke with Lorca about the state of the war and reiterated his order that the Discovery return to Federation territory. He also informed Lorca that he was to receive the Legion of Honor, and updated him on Cornwell's condition. (DIS: "Into the Forest I Go")
