Tevmel
Tevmel was a traditional Vulcan food. One of its ingredients was halak.
In 2259, Christopher Pike made tevmel for Spock and T'Pring's V'Shal dinner with their parents. Sevet found them delicious, but T'Pril criticized the twist topping as overly elaborate, the halak as not fresh, and the fact that it had been salted. Pike replied that he added salt to slow the fermentation, since the temperature on the USS Enterprise was higher than in a typical Vulcan kitchen. (SNW: "Charades")
