Thamela Mpumlwana (born 18 June 2001; age 23) is a Canadian actor who played the young T'Kuvma in the Star Trek: Discovery first season episode "Battle at the Binary Stars".

Mpumlwana started his career as a child and teen actor and starred in the 2013 independent drama film The Warrior and the Savior. He also had a supporting role in the 2014 Lifetime TV movie The Gabby Douglas Story and in 2013-14, voiced the character Ramone in the children's animated series Peg+Cat. He appeared in guest roles on such such as Rookie Blue (with Emmanuel Kabongo), Rogue (with Brian Markinson, Dwain Murphy, Conrad Pla, Leslie Hope, and Romaine Waite), Saving Hope (starring Huse Madhavji, with Milton Barnes), Murdoch Mysteries, Frankie Drake Mysteries (with Emmanuel Kabongo, Karen Robinson, and Romaine Waite), and Ransom (starring Nazneen Contractor, with Morgan Kohan).

In 2019, Mpumlwana co-starred in the first season of In the Dark, where he appeared alongside Derek Webster, Adrian Walters, Myles Dobson, Leslie Silva, Adam Winlove-Smith, and Chai Valladares. In 2020, he co-starred in Akilla's Escape (with Huse Madhavji and Tony Nappo), for which he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 9th Canadian Screen Awards. He also appeared recently in episodes of Departure (with Shazad Latif and Christopher Plummer, directed by TJ Scott) and Transplant (with Grace Lynn Kung).

In 2022, he had a recurring role in the second season of Pretty Hard Cases, alongside Karen Robinson, Rong Fu, Jason Gosbee, and Billy MacLellan.

Mpumlwana's younger sister, Shechinah Mpumlwana is also an actress.
