A collection of stories from DC Comics two Star Trek volumes.
Summary[]
The Best of Star Trek was a comic book paperback collecting eight issues from DC Comics Star Trek (TOS) monthlies, volume 1 (including two annuals) and volume 2, spanning from 1984 to 1991.
It depicted the events of a later missions taking place between the events of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Some events of the first DC series don't fit very well into canon, such as portions of the series set between Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home which depicted Admiral James T. Kirk in temporary command of the USS Excelsior, with Captain Spock reassigned to the USS Surak.
