Theodore Roosevelt, fifth cousin of Franklin D. Roosevelt, was a Human politician who served as the 26th President of the United States, at the turn of the 20th century.

After Jonathan Archer restored a damaged timeline, Theodore Roosevelt was seen giving a speech in the time stream as the timeline realigned itself. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")

Roosevelt's face is featured among the faces that adorn Mount Rushmore in an incomplete and deleted scene from Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

The Star Trek Encyclopedia, 2nd ed., p. 420 states that the Federation starship USS Roosevelt was named for Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt's name also inspired the teddy bear.

In the novel Articles of the Federation, Federation President Hiram Roth was an admirer of Roosevelt, and lived by the words of a Roosevelt quote: "Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing."

The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel Call to Arms has a quote by Roosevelt on page 94: "The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be willing and able to pull his own weight".
