Thermokinetic analysis

A thermo-kinetic analysis seen through a viewer

A thermo-kinetic analysis was a type of scan, capable of being performed by NX-class starship sensors.

In 2152, Sub-Commander T'Pol performed a thermo-kinetic analysis of a gas giant and several moons to locate Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker. Her results were displayed on the science station viewer of Enterprise NX-01. (ENT: "Dawn")

In the final draft script of "Dawn", the thermo-kinetic analysis from that episode, as viewed through T'Pol's scope, was described as "a graphic representation of the gas giant and its numerous moons circling in their various orbits. It's accompanied by complex sensor data."
