(written from a Production point of view)
These Are the Voyages: TOS Season Three is a reference book published by Jacobs Brown Press as a follow-up to These Are the Voyages: TOS Season Two that provides an extensive episode guide to the third season of Star Trek: The Original Series.
Written by Marc Cushman and Susan Osborn, the book, illustrated throughout with black and white photographs, was first published in February 2015 and provides background and production information from "Spectre of the Gun" through "Turnabout Intruder".
A mostly full color pictorial companion tome was released in April 2017 as To Boldly Go: Rare Photos from the TOS Soundstage - Season Three by Gerald Gurian's (the series' Archivist/Photo Editor) own publishing house, Minkatek Press.
- Marc Cushman's biography of Star Trek® the original series (TOS) takes you back in time for the final season of this iconic television show, to the production offices, the writers' room, onto the soundstages, and in front of your TV sets for what many thought would be Star Trek's final voyage. Included are hundreds of memos between Roddenberry, the producers and staff, production schedules, budgets, fan letters, behind-the-scene images, and the TV ratings. You'll find out the real reason Star Trek® was cancelled. So buckle your seat belts, this final trek gets really bumpy.
