Theta Cygni, also known as 13 Cygni, was a planetary system in the Alpha Quadrant.

This was the home system of a civilization that was invaded and destroyed by flying parasites. (TOS: "Operation -- Annihilate!"; ENT: "Cold Front")

Stellar system[]

This was a quadrinary star system.

The primary of this system was Theta Cygni A. It was a F-type dwarf. Theta Cygni B, GJ 765 B, and GSC 03564-00642 were all red dwarf companions. (ENT: "Cold Front")

Planetary system[]

In this system, there were at least twelve planets. The extinct civilization's homeworld was Theta Cygni XII. (TOS: "Operation -- Annihilate!")

Stellar cartography[]

The Theta Cygni system was visible from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. It was approximately 60 light years from Sol.

In the 2150s, this system's position was labeled on an United Earth star chart which was displayed in several crew and guest quarters aboard the Enterprise. (Star Trek: Enterprise, set decoration)

This star system was only mentioned in writing.
Information on this system was derived the reference works Star Trek: Star Charts and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library, and real-world sources. The reference works were used extensively in the creation of star charts seen in Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Star Trek: Lower Decks. The real-world information added to the article was current as of 2025.
