Thresh-tor kashek, meaning "shared mind" in the Vulcan language, was a formal meditation method taught by Vulcans to children to facilitate learning. It involved two individuals kneeling facing each other, with their eyes closed and hands overlapping, and breathing deeply.
On Ni'Var in 3190, T'Rina introduced Saru to thresh-tor kashek after he inquired about her meditation technique. At the time, they were both facing difficult questions regarding the future in a time of uncertainty. (DIS: "All Is Possible")
Later that year aboard the USS Discovery, Saru requested that T'Rina perform another session of thresh-tor kashek with him, to help him cope with the upcoming mission to stop Cleveland Booker, as well as his ward Su'Kal's concerns about the Dark Matter Anomaly. However, Saru was unable to achieve sufficient focus. (DIS: "Rubicon")
