Thusa's species were a species of blue-skinned humanoids who had inhabited the planet Balkus 9 for several generations. In 2381, Thusa served as a guide for an away team from the USS Cerritos on Balkus 9 before she was killed by a Grafflax. (LD: "Caves")

Females of this species procreated their base mind via dermal contact to a new body. Upon death, they transfer their consciousness into a protein mass that grew into a baby clone of the original in a matter of seconds, and born almost immediately afterwards. The original body then disintegrated into dust. (LD: "Caves")
