Dead man []

Earp's opponent

Earp's opponent

The bar patron was a 19th century Human living in Tombstone, Arizona at the time of the shootout at the OK Corral on October 26th, 1881.

In 2268, he was part of events leading up to the recreation of the duel created by the Melkot to kill Captain James T. Kirk and his landing party. He was gunned down by Morgan Earp in a bar fight, landing at the feet of the landing party. The astonished Montgomery Scott explained that "It's impossible! Things like this can't happen." Spock inquired to McCoy "Is this a dead man, Doctor?", to which McCoy replied, "Very dead, Mr. Spock," leading Kirk to conclude "That's one thing we can be sure of. Death is real." (TOS: "Spectre of the Gun")

The dead man was played by an unknown actor.
A bit more elaborate scene was described in the script than what appeared on screen, which read as the following: "Over the scene the sudden screams of a woman and the sounds of men's voices raised in a furious fight. Across the swinging half doors two men can be seen in a brawl. One of them in MORGAN EARP. A right to the jaw sends the other man backward through the doors. Morgan is out after him. As the first man picks himself up from the street he makes a quick reach for his holster. Morgan Earp's gun is out of his holster and the bullet is in his opponent's heart. His twisted body is hurled backward. As the impact of the bullet whirls and twists the man's body into a heap at the feet of our people. McCoy bends down to feel the man's heart."

Saloon patrons []

These four bar patrons were drinking in the Melkotians' recreation of the saloon in Tombstone, Arizona in the hours leading up to the recreation of the duel at the time of the shooutout at the OK Corral on October 26th, 1881.

The first three patrons were around a table to the left of the saloon's entrance, near a piano, with Wyatt Earp. The first two observed and remained interested in the arrival of Captain James T. Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy, Montgomery Scott, and Pavel Chekov. The third patron remained interested in only nursing his drink.

The fourth patron was standing at the bar near Sylvia, where he was disinterested in the arrival of the landing party from the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "Spectre of the Gun")
