The Toronto City Police was a municipal police force and primary law enforcement agency for the city of Toronto in Canada.

After the explosion of the Lake Ontario Bridge, many officers of the TCP converged to investigate the cause of the explosion.

Later, La'an Noonien-Singh and James T. Kirk were both briefly detained by TCP officers for reckless driving, but were released after the arresting officers were called away to backup the scene of the terrorist attack. (SNW: "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow")

The actual name for Toronto City Police is Toronto Police Service (TPS). It is the oldest local police service in North America, and the third largest police force in Canada, only behind the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
