Trajectory operations officer station
The trajectory operations officer (abbreviated TOPO) was a title and station responsible for monitoring a vessels position and maneuvers at NX-Control, within the Starfleet Research Center, during the NX Project's testing of the NX-Alpha and NX-Beta.
In 2143 during Commander A.G. Robinson's NX-Alpha flight, Commodore Maxwell Forrest and Commander Jonathan Archer accessed data on the NX-Alpha's speed and position from the untended TOPO station after Robinson refused to acknowledge orders to drop to sublight speeds. (ENT: "First Flight")
Many of the NX-Control stations were references to NASA and International Space Station terminology.
