In 2268, tribal law betrothed Tribal Priestess Miramanee, the daughter of the chief, to their tribe's leader, who in this case was an amnesiac Captain James T. Kirk who had been perceived as a god for saving the life of a boy by performing cardiopulmonary and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
