Troy Cephers (born 13 June 1963; age 60) is an actor who appeared as a Tandaran guard in the Star Trek: Enterprise first season episode "Detained". He filmed his scenes for this episode on Wednesday 6 February 2002, Friday 8 February 2002, Tuesday 12 February 2002, and Wednesday 13 February 2002 on Paramount Stage 8 and 9.
Cephers started his career in the 1990s with featured parts in three films directed by Tony Scott; Crimson Tide (1995, with Scott Burkholder, Earl Billings, and Scott Grimes), The Fan (1996, with Charles Hallahan, Michael Jace, Dan Butler, Brad William Henke, James G. MacDonald, Michael Bofshever, Don Fischer, Brian Freifield, Richard Riehle, Earl Billings, John Carroll Lynch, and Patti Tippo), and Enemy of the State (1998, with Dan Butler, Jacob Chambers, Charlie Curtis, and Brian Markinson).
In 2000, he performed stunts in Space Cowboys, along with Jeffrey Eith, Paul Sklar, and Jim Wilkey and in 2004 he appeared in the short drama Agent Orange, again directed by Tony Scott.
Cephers was featured in episodes of The Practice (2002, with Jon Braver, Paul Hayes, Gregory Itzin, Bruce McGill, and David Sage), Monk (2005, with Mary Mara and Stanley Kamel), Strong Medicine (2005, with Natalija Nogulich and D.C. Douglas and executive produced by Whoopi Goldberg), Medium (2005, with Conor O'Farrell, Harry Groener, and Eric Pierpoint), Raines (2007, with Linda Park and Andrew Borba), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008, with Thomas Dekker and Matt McColm), Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight (2009), The Event (2010, with Lisa Vidal, Bill Smitrovich, and Clifton Collins, Jr.), Southland (2011, with Michael McGrady and Antal Kalik), and Bones (2014, with Sterling Macer, Jr.).
More recently, he appeared in episodes of State of Affairs (2015, with Alfre Woodard), Bosch (2015, with Titus Welliver, Annie Wersching, Scott Klace, Steven Culp, and John Eddins), Shameless (2015, with Emily Bergl, Michael Reilly Burke, and Michael B. Silver), and NCIS: Los Angeles (2015 and 2017, with Miguel Ferrer and Stephen Wozniak).
Since 2013, Cephers has been employed as an officer in the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department out of Palmdale, California.
