Typing on a typewriter
Typing was the act of pressing keys on a typewriter or computer keyboard to form words on a piece of paper or a computer screen.
In 1968, after Gary Seven assured Roberta Lincoln she wasn't to operate a typewriter with her fingers, she asked if she should use her nose instead. She was surprised that the device typed everything she was saying and ordered it to stop. (TOS: "Assignment: Earth")
