In 2380, Lieutenant jg O'Connor kept a Tzutchian gong in his quarters aboard the USS Cerritos. While attempting a spiritual ascension, Ensign D'Vana Tendi accidentally dropped his Tzutchian gong on a sand mandala O'Connor had been working on for two years. (LD: "Moist Vessel")

The Tzutchian gong was among the various items Ensign Brad Boimler's friends stashed on his former bunk after he transferred to the USS Titan later that year. (LD: "Strange Energies")
