A UHC card was an identification card used in the 21st century on Earth in the United States of America. It could identify people who were not homeless.
After materializing in 2024, due to a transporter accident, Commander Benjamin Sisko and Dr. Julian Bashir were asked by Vin for their UHC cards or transit pass as an Identification card. As they were from the 24th century and had no such identification, Vin and his partner, Bernardo Calvera had Sisko and Bashir taken to the Sanctuary District in San Francisco. Article about counterfeit UHC cards
In 2024, the January 21 issue of the Los Angeles Times included an article about counterfeit UHC cards. According to the blurb, they were easy to buy, but the authorities were difficult to fool with these fakes. (PIC: "Watcher")
When Cristóbal Rios was arrested in 2024 by ICE, one of the officers mentioned Rios having no UHC card nor ID. (PIC: "Assimilation")
