The USS Curry (NCC-42254) was a 24th century Federation Curry-type starship operated by Starfleet.
In early 2374, the Curry was attached to the Second Fleet, which had engaged Dominion forces. During the battle, it suffered massive damage but survived, and limped away from the battlefield with the several other surviving Federation and Klingon ships, including the USS Elkins, USS Fredrickson, and USS Defiant. The ship's registry had erroneously been listed in fan resources as NCC-45617, but the ship's true number was uncovered during discussion of a photo of the model in Star Trek: Communicator issue 148. [1] It was given the unofficial designation of Shelley-class by several internet resources. The design of the Curry was similar to that of the Raging Queen.
This studio model was created by Dan Curry (I AM ERROR visual effects staff), for whom the first vessel seen on screen was named.
