The USS Denver was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet. The colony ship had a standard crew complement was 23.
On stardate 45587.9, the Denver was hit by a Cardassian gravitic mine while transporting 517 colonists to the Beloti sector. The ship was forced to crash land on a planet in the Mericor system. The USS Enterprise-D responded to the disaster and provided medical assistance to the survivors. (TNG: "Ethics")
The Star Trek Encyclopedia describes this vessel as a Yorkshire-class starship, with a registry of NCC-54927.
This ship was possibly named after the county and city of Denver, Colorado in North America.
