The USS Mitchell (NCC-325027) was a Federation Merian-class starship operated by Starfleet in the 32nd century.
In 3190, the Mitchell monitored the area of space where the Dark Matter Anomaly was destroyed by Doctor Ruon Tarka. A short time later, it informed the USS Discovery that a new DMA had appeared in the exact same location as the previous one. (DIS: "Rubicon")
Later that year, the Mitchell was assigned to evacuate Titan when the Sol system was threatened by the DMA. At Lieutenant Sylvia Tilly's suggestion, Fleet Admiral Charles Vance ordered the ship to assist in evacuating refugees from Earth afterwards. As the Mitchell arrived at Earth, it used its phasers to destroy an asteroid that was about to hit one of the rescue shuttles, for which Vance remarked that he would give its captain a commendation.
When Starfleet's position at Earth became untenable, the Mitchell picked up the crew of Federation Headquarters and departed with the rest of the fleet. (DIS: "Coming Home")
