Background information[]

The name and registry of this ship were provided by Dave Blass. [1]

The Passaro was on the suggestion of Keene Sin named by Blass for the late Fabio Passaro, the prolific Eaglemoss Collections mainstay for whom he had created countless Star Trek CG models and their associated CAD files needed for display model manufacture. [2] These included a publication conversion of the Gagarin-class itself for the Star Trek Online Starships Collection inaugural issue. Passaro's next of kin have expressed their appreciation of Blass' gesture, [3] as has his former Eaglemoss employer Ben Robinson. [4]
