The USS Quito was an Olympic-class Federation starship operated by Starfleet during the late 24th century.
In the 2370s, the Quito was docked at Deep Space 9 when one of its crewmembers, Ensign Niko, was exposed as a Harvongian, and attempted to eat another crewmember, Ensign Angie. Angie died from the incident, while various crewmembers fired their phasers at Niko. (LD: "Cupid's Errant Arrow")
In 2379, the crew of the Quito made first contact with the Galardonians. Beckett Mariner was among the crew who beamed down to meet with the local population, including a group of farmers. Apparently during the initial mission, the local wildlife was not fully catalogued, including a flying insect that produced a viral infection. (LD: "Second Contact")
When Mariner's father transferred her to the USS Cerritos, he promised Captain Carol Freeman (his wife and Mariner's mother) that if the posting did not work out, he would send her back to the Quito. (LD: "Second Contact")
