In 2401, when the Titan was taken over by the Borg, he was part of the five-person group led by Seven of Nine that managed to retake the bridge of the ship from assimilated officers. Despite his relative lack of expertise, he was ordered by Seven of Nine to pilot the ship. (PIC: "The Last Generation")

When Crusher inquired about the power level of the force field, this officer told him it was as level 10, and encouraged Crusher to stick out his tongue to test it for himself.
