The USS Trumbull (NCC-72370) was a Duderstadt-class Federation starship operated by Starfleet in the early 25th century.
In 2401, the Trumbull, along with the USS Yorktown and USS Mestral, was assigned to track down the fugitive USS Titan. However, they were misled by one of the decoy transponders dropped by the Titan. (PIC: "The Bounty")

Later that year, the Trumbull participated in Frontier Day celebrations near Sol Station. Along with the rest of the fleet, it was seized by the Borg Collective after its younger crew were assimilated by a Borg signal transmitted via Jack Crusher. (PIC: "Vox")
This ship was named for Star Trek: The Motion Picture visual effects director Douglas Trumbull. [1][2]
The audio description for "The Bounty" erroneously identified this ship as the USS Intrepid.
