A team of at least eighteen crew were working in a shuttlebay of the Yamato as she attempted to rendezvous with the USS Enterprise-D. During a maintenance operation, the Iconian virus caused the shuttlebay doors to open, blasting them to their deaths. (TNG: "Contagion")
