In 2373, the Yeager fought against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001. (Star Trek: First Contact)
The CGI rendering of this ship appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation Sketchbook: The Movies. According to the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual the Yeager had a registry number of NCC-81947. The Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 507 included a starboard side profile of this ship with the registry NCC-81947.
The Yeager was "named for test pilot Chuck Yeager, the first Human to fly faster than the speed of sound." (Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 507)
The presence of the Yeager-type USS Yeager later in 2373, as seen in several episodes of DS9, may imply this Yeager was decommissioned shortly after the events of First Contact.
