Unimatrix 01 was a subsection of the Borg Collective. Drones assigned to this unimatrix operate in close association with the Borg Queen. It contained trillions of drones. (VOY: "Dark Frontier")

Some members of Unimatrix 01, including Seven of Nine, crash landed on a planet in 2368 and their link with the Collective was temporarily severed. (VOY: "Survival Instinct")

Seven of Nine was the tertiary adjunct of Unimatrix 01 until her release from the Collective in 2374. (VOY: "Dark Frontier", "Scorpion, Part II")

Unimatrix 01 was destroyed in 2378 when an alternate future version of Admiral Kathryn Janeway disrupted the collective with her neurolytic pathogen. (VOY: "Endgame")
