The following is a list of unnamed Gamma Quadrant nebulae.
Dominion staging area []
This nebula was located on the edge of Dominion space nearest to the Bajoran wormhole. Like another Gamma Quadrant nebula, the Chamra Vortex, this too contained pockets of Toh-maire gas. The composition of the nebula also interfered with the function of shields and sensors, but not tractor beams.
In 2373, it served as a staging area for a large Dominion invasion fleet consisting of over fifty Dominion ships, including several Jem'Hadar battle cruisers and Jem'Hadar fighters, destined for the Alpha Quadrant.
The invasion force was accidentally discovered by Worf and Elim Garak that year, when they took their runabout, the USS Rio Grande, through the nebula so as to be able to go deeper into Dominion space, while avoiding detection by the Jem'Hadar, and getting light years closer to the source of the transmission they were investigating. Garak originally discovered the nebula on a long range sensor scan. (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow")
Footage of this nebula was a reuse of the Mutara Nebula from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan that was flipped horizontally.
According to one script note, it was suggested that the nebula could simply be "(Stock from "VORTEX?[!]")"
