Jonathan Archer's great-grandfather was a military officer who served in North Africa during the Eugenics Wars.
During one particular battle, Archer's great-grandfather's battalion was evacuating civilians, including a school full of children, from a war zone when they came under attack by the Augments.
To avoid adding to the collateral damage, Archer's great-grandfather called the Augment commander, and got him to agree to hold his fire long enough to evacuate the school.
Archer once told this story in 2153 to explain to Trip Tucker that "there are rules...even in war," to justify assisting several unhatched Xindi-Insectoids. (ENT: "Hatchery")

Kirk and Spock, who had traveled back in time, were annoyed by the loud rock music, and Kirk asked the punk to "turn off that damn noise". When the punk instead turned up the volume and gave Kirk the middle finger, Spock administered a Vulcan nerve pinch and the punk went unconscious, his face falling on the stereo and turning it off, much to the joy of the rest of the bus passengers, who applauded Spock's actions. Thirty-eight years later, on April 12th, 2024, he took another bus commute in Los Angeles, loudly playing his music on the same boombox. However, when asked by Seven of Nine to "stop that noise", he humbly complied and apologized, claiming that he just really liked that song. (PIC: "Watcher")

When the guard told them they weren't allowed up there, Seven pointed out that his co-worker, Kevin had previously let them up their, and upon hearing so, claimed to be more fun than Kevin, and allowed them to remain.
