Jonathan Archer's great-grandfather was a military officer who served in North Africa during the Eugenics Wars.
  +
  +
During one particular battle, Archer's great-grandfather's battalion was evacuating civilians, including a school full of children, from a war zone when they came under attack by the Augments.
  +
  +
To avoid adding to the collateral damage, Archer's great-grandfather called the Augment commander, and got him to agree to hold his fire long enough to evacuate the school.
  +
  +
Archer once told this story in 2153 to explain to Trip Tucker that "there are rules...even in war," to justify assisting several unhatched Xindi-Insectoids. (Hatchery)
  +
{{bginfo|great-grandfather|(See also: Jack Archer)|In the short story "The Rules of War" from Strange New Worlds 9, the Augment commander was Stavos Keniclius while Archer's great-grandfather was given the name Nathan Archer (Eugenics Wars). Latest revision as of 23:41, 23 January 2024

List of unnamed Humans from the 21st century.

Archer's great-grandfather

Jonathan Archer's great-grandfather was a military officer who served in North Africa during the Eugenics Wars.

During one particular battle, Archer's great-grandfather's battalion was evacuating civilians, including a school full of children, from a war zone when they came under attack by the Augments.

To avoid adding to the collateral damage, Archer's great-grandfather called the Augment commander, and got him to agree to hold his fire long enough to evacuate the school.

Archer once told this story in 2153 to explain to Trip Tucker that "there are rules...even in war," to justify assisting several unhatched Xindi-Insectoids. (ENT: "Hatchery")

This great-grandfather was only mentioned in dialogue.
(See also: Jack Archer)
In the short story "The Rules of War" from Strange New Worlds 9, the Augment commander was Stavos Keniclius while Archer's great-grandfather was given the name Nathan Archer (β). The story depicts the incident as having taken place in 1994.

(Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

Thirty-eight years later, on April 12th, 2024, he took another bus commute in Los Angeles, loudly playing his music on the same boombox. However, when asked by Seven of Nine to "stop that noise", he humbly complied and apologized, claiming that he just really liked that song. (PIC: "Watcher")
