The following is a list of unnamed Takarians. (VOY: "False Profits")

Bard []

Takarian bard

The bard

This male bard sang the Song of the Sages, offering the first verse for free and charging three frangs for the full song. He also begged Chakotay and Tom Paris for money to help him pay for his eye, although Paris later pointed out that the bard's eyepatch had switched eyes overnight.

He unwittingly played a role in removing the Sages when he informed Chakotay and Paris that there was a legend for how the Sages were to leave. (VOY: "False Profits")

This bard was played by Michael Ensign.

Sandal maker []

Takarian sandal maker

A Takarian sandal maker

This sandal maker begged the Holy Sages for help, as his shop was struggling. They scolded him for not exploiting his wife, six six children, and ill mother-in-law for labor, and offered him a copy of the Rules of Acquisition as an aide.

When the villagers decided to literally send the Sages back to the sky on wings of fire, the sandal maker told Chakotay he had prayed for that day to come. (VOY: "False Profits")

This sandal maker was played by Alan Altshuld.

Sandal maker's family []

While a sandal maker was beseeching the Holy Sages to help his failing business in 2373, he mentioned his five "very young" children and an infant, his wife, and her ill mother.

When the sandal maker approached the Holy Sages to request financial assistance as his "sandal shop is failing," and he could "no longer feed [his] family." When the Holy Sages, who were actually two Ferengi that were exploiting the Takarans, discovered that the sandal maker was not exploiting his family as free labor in his shop, as Arridor saw it, "That's seven employees. Eight, if you count the infant." As the sandal maker further explained the circumstances, Kol responded, "Oh, don't tell me none of them are working. Ignorant, lobeless fools!" Arridor then reminded the sandal maker that "Exploitation begins at home," which he then repeated, the confessed that "I understand my mistake and I promise to begin exploiting my family before the end of the day." They then offered him a copy of the Rules of Acquisition, rather than the food and medicine that he requested. (VOY: "False Profits")

This family was only mentioned in dialogue.

Temple women []
