The Long Version
Like most people around my age, I grew up watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and eagerly awaited new episodes each week. Reruns of Star Trek: The Original Series were playing, but I never took much interest in them. Since I grew up with TNG, I considered it my favorite for a long, long time. I remember when Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager came out. I tried to watch them, but I didn't stick with them for long. Shortly afterwards, Star Trek seemed to disappear from TV, leaving TNG with no competition for a while.
A couple of years ago, I caught an episode of DS9 on TV. I thought I'd give it another chance and watch it. And... I loved it. I immediately added it to my DVR (thanks, Spike TV) and watched the entire series twice. I then got a hold of the entire series on DVD and have since watched the series many, many more times (not to mention buying the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion and reading it cover to cover).
DS9 is just so much more complex than TNG, and it feels more real, too. The characters have flaws, and DS9 goes where no Star Trek before it would go. It's darker, it deals with politics, the impact of war, death, religion, equal rights, racism, and much more. Episodes like "In the Pale Moonlight" and "The Visitor" bring forth emotions that TNG never could. These days, I try to convert my friends to DS9, but they just ignore me or call me a heretic--I think nostalgia is the only thing holding them back.
As far as Voyager is concerned, I think it's on about equal grounds with TNG. Oh, and Enterprise doesn't even exist in my mind.

I think everyone should check out this Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Fan Made Trailer. I didn't make it, but it's an excellent piece of work. I've seen DS9 in its entirety countless times, and that trailer still manages to amaze me.
