V. Brown was a Terran male who served as a Military Assault Command Operations soldier during the mid-22nd century. As of January, 2155, Brown was assigned to the MACO detachment aboard the ISS Enterprise under the command of Major Malcolm Reed. Brown was one of the surviving crewmembers to escape the destruction of Enterprise and be rescued by the starship Defiant.

Still aboard Enterprise after the Imperial starship became trapped in a Tholian web, Brown escaped the warship's destruction via escape pod. The pod Brown was aboard was one of the few not destroyed by the web or the Tholian's weapons, and later picked up by the Defiant under the command of Commander Jonathan Archer. Brown's rescue made him one of forty seven crewmembers to survive the Tholians' assault on Enterprise and the escape pods. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly", "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II")

After being brought aboard the Defiant and the discovery that a Gorn slavemaster by the name of Slar was sabotaging the ship, Brown was assigned to hunt him down. Together with McKenzie, Brown was rendered incapable of contacting Major Reed after Slar had been cornered in turboshaft 3, and escaped through an access tube.

When Archer decided to lead a search team himself, Brown was one of three MACOs who helped Archer and Reed. When Archer and Reed separated, Brown was one of two MACOs who stayed with Reed while B. Scott left with Archer. Reed led his team of MACOs to a bio-sign, only to find a communicator that had been set to emit the signal. However, Slar had also set an explosive device on the ceiling above the communicator. Realizing the Gorn's trap, Reed alerted the other two officers, but they were too late to escape and the bomb detonated. Archer later found Brown lying unconscious on the deck with his face extremely bloodied. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II")

V. Brown was, like his normal universe counterpart, played by stunt actor Yoshio Iizuka, who received no credit for his appearance. His costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]This character's surname was consistently (i.e. twice) spelled "Browne" in the final draft script of "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II", though his arm patch, visible on screen, formats it as "Brown".
Brown was either injured or killed in the explosion and his final fate is unknown.
