The Valo system was an inhabited planetary system in the Alpha Quadrant. It was located on the outskirts of Cardassian territory.
In the mid-24th century, many Bajoran refugees fled to this system during the Occupation of Bajor. The system had three M-class planets, all containing Bajoran settlements. These planets were designated as Valo I, Valo II, and Valo III. There was also a Bajoran settlement on the third moon of Valo I.
The USS Enterprise-D entered the system in 2368 to investigate a possible terrorist threat from resistance leader Orta to the Federation. (TNG: "Ensign Ro")

Background information[]
This system's quadrant of origin is inferred based on the position of the Cardassian Union in the star chart appearing in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".
According to the script, the pronunciation for Valo was "VAH-lo". [1]
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), the primary of the Valo system was a G-class star. In the late 24th century, it was an independent system.
According to StarTrek.com, the primary was named Valo. [2](X)
