Vandor IV was an inhabited planetoid located in the Vandor system. This planetoid was located at coordinates 664.8 × 1323.7 × 4949.9, which placed it in the middle of the system. It was in an elliptical orbit around the binary system.
In 2351, it was selected by Doctor Paul Manheim as the site for his time experiments. Along with his team, he built two laboratories on opposite sides of the planetoid, one of which was located at 20°9'N × 40°2'E.
During the next decade, he managed to harness the power of the dense gravity of the pulsar in the system to open a window into another dimension in 2364. This caused an accident that destroyed one of the labs, and created the Manheim Effect, a time distortion that started to spread through the galaxy. An immense volume of energy persisted inside the planetoid.
The hole was sealed by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D, and Manheim remained on Vandor IV, along with his wife Jenice, to continue his work. (TNG: "We'll Always Have Paris")
In 2371, the location of Vandor IV was labeled in the star chart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography aboard the Enterprise-D. (Star Trek Generations, okudagram)
Vandor IV was also referred to as a planet.
