Varel (2368)
Varel was a Romulan officer in the late 24th century, on the team that tested a Romulan interphase cloak.
In 2368, she served aboard a Romulan science vessel that was secretly testing a interphase cloaking device. When several of the crew died in an explosion, she was Mirok's acting first officer. When an away team from the Enterprise-D came to offer assistance, she was particularly concerned about the Starfleet personnel discovering the interphase generator. (TNG: "The Next Phase")
