A Veltan sex idol was a rare item prized among collectors.
When Palor Toff and Kivas Fajo were comparing their respective collections of valuable objects in 2366, Toff mentioned that he had recently added a Veltan sex idol to his collection. Fajo replied that he already had four of them. Toff's idol had intact pearls, which he believed made it more valuable, but Fajo claimed that pearls were an addition made by Ferengi agents in order to artificially increase the idol's value.
