He was previously nominated for an Emmy Award three times; 1993 for the Quantum Leap episode "Lee Harvey Oswald, Part I", 2000 for the main title theme of the series The Pretender, and 2001 for Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Dramatic Underscore) for Papa's Angels, starring Scott Bakula.
