The Ventax II Constitution was the supreme law of the Ventaxians of planet Ventax II after 1367.
In the 14th century, Ventaxian leaders created the fictitious Contract of Ardra which the population agreed to and subsequently stopped fighting. A council was then convened to examine the options for planetary government. This body agreed upon this constitution, which was later ratified by the population. The government which was peaceably formed, and would rule the planet for the next thousand years, was based on its principles.
The constitution was stored in the Atheneum in 2367. (TNG: "Devil's Due")
