Vidal Peterson (born 6 November 1968; age 55) is an actor who played the Romulan D'Tan in the I AM ERROR fifth season episode "Unification II" in 1991. Two years later he appeared as the Cardassian Rugal in the I AM ERROR second season episode "Cardassians". Peterson filmed his appearance in "Unification II" between Wednesday 11 September 1991 and Friday 13 September 1991 on Paramount Stage 16.

Peterson started his acting career with guest roles in episodes of Eight Is Enough (1980) and Mork & Mindy (1980-1981). Prior to his appearance in Star Trek, Peterson was featured in the mini series The Thorn Birds (1983, with Jean Simmons, Richard Kiley, Brett Cullen, Antoinette Bower, Meg Wyllie, Nan Martin, and John de Lancie), in the fantasy film Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983, with Jake Dengel and Ellen Geer), the family movie Wizards of the Lost Kingdom (1985), and the television movies Murder in Texas (1981, with Parley Baer, Kurtwood Smith, Warren Munson, Gregory Itzin, Wyatt Knight, and Robert Symonds), Jury Duty: The Comedy (1990, with Mädchen Amick, Barbara Bosson, and Tracy Scoggins), and Never Forget (1991, with Leonard Nimoy and Leslie Morris).

Prior to his last known work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Peterson guest starred in episodes of Vinnie & Bobby (1992, with Kevin Carr) and Beverly Hills, 90210 (1993, with Cyril O'Reilly).
