Voyager 1 was a deep space probe operated by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the 1970s. This probe, and Voyager 2, passed through the Jovian system and took images of the moon Europa in 1979.
This probe was mentioned in the January 21, 2024 issue of the Los Angeles Times when describing the historical background for the Europa Mission. (PIC: "Watcher")
Months later, the probe was mentioned in the display "Could there be life on Europa?" seen at the gala for the mission's astronauts. (PIC: "Two of One")
