Ward Botsford (22 June 1927–1 April 2004; age 76) co-wrote the story for the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episode "Rascals" with his daughter Diana Dru Botsford. It is the only episode of Star Trek either of them worked on. He also directed Star Trek: The Original Series actor William Shatner for the Caedmon Records recording of Isaac Asimov's "Foundation". He also directed Leonard Nimoy for recordings of "The Martian Chronicles" and "Mimsy Where the Borogroves".
Botsford died of leukemia on 1 April 2004. [1] [2]
