The Weather Control Net was a weather-related technology that was in place on Earth, designed to dissipate destructive weather phenomena such as tornadoes.
Malfunctions with the Weather Control Net were rare, such as the one created in 2356 by the Q in order to execute the father and mother of Amanda Rogers, who had deserted the Q Continuum to live among Humans, but had subsequently violated their promise not to exercise their powers. (TNG: "True Q")
